I thought I would do this differently this month to give people a little more notice. Racing for September will be on the Fridays of September 10 and 24.
As usual doors will open by 6, racing will start at 7 pm. Please come in a little earlier and pay for your entries to allow whoever is running racing that night time to get the computer as well as themselves set up.
So lets see some Buggies on the track. Neither of these nights will be a Truck night, the next one of those should be the first race in October.
Would like to welcome Ben Richardson who had his first run with the club last night, and to congratulate him on a great effort considering he was thrown in the deep end not having any practice time and straight into racing WELL DONE.
It was good to have a dry track again and also to see some Stadium Trucks out on the track.
Like to say thank you to Ian Scott for stepping up and organising the canteen with drinks and snacks much appreciated and to Richard Green for helping me with race control.
Remember guys when you get these posts on FB to share them around helps remind people whats going on and and might spark an interest for some one else.
Charge your batteries, repair those broken parts and lets go racing. Yes we are back to the track this Friday night. Doors should be opening at 6, with racing starting at 7pm.
This week is Stadium Truck Week. While a number of racers have ST’s, we don’t have enough to regularly host this class as well as the more heavily populated buggy classes. So every once and a while we will have a race night featuring a truck class, It has been suggested very 3 race nights or so, but we will see how it goes this week. Got a Short Course Truck and feel left out? they can run in the same race as a separate category. Usual Race Class restrictions apply, check HERE if you aren’t sure.
Results are in for what was a very interesting night of racing, track conditions were along way off to what we are a custom to at LRC. From high traction to no traction after a mid week flood in the shed the carpet was a little damp but this wasn’t enough to stop the keen racers to turn some laps. I would like to congratulate all drivers for there efforts it was a good little test for car set up as there were changes that had to be made well done, also it was good seeing every one laying off the loud finger to keep that traction under control.
☆RACING THIS FRIDAY☆ Back to our usual timeslot. Calling all old members and new alike. Let’s get out backsides trackside and make this a huge meet. We’ll have the fridge stocked, food on the go in the canteen and the computer fired up ready to go. If you know anyone who might be interested in having a look at racing, get them out here aswell. Let’s make this a big one. Gates open at 5pm Racing starts at 7pm. See you all there
This is the last meeting before a two month break so if there is anything that you need to collect if you are not helping pack up on the weekend its your last chance.
In regards to packing up we will start Friday night after racing and then start again 10am Saturday to move up to compound. We will need all hands on deck to help with move thank you, what doesn’t get done Saturday will be finished Sunday
