I thought I would do an update on the progress of the Chilli FM Launceston R/C Cup entries.  As of tonight we have 37 (wait, 39 now! Jesse Hilder, you did your entry while I was typing this) entries, with a lot of familiar names from around the state yet to put in their entries.

The first class to fill a heat was Short Course Stock tonight with one heat of 10 trucks filled, but 2wd Buggy Stock is close behind with 9 entries to date.

All classes have at least one entry at this stage, but remember that a class must have at least 4 entries to be run, so keep those entries coming.  You do not need to pay at the time of entry, but you can pay on the day of the event, or prior to the event on any Race day or Club Meet like tomorrow’s AGM /Family day.

For those that missed it, we have our first Raffle Sponsor with Action RC putting some Schumacher tyres into the raffle.  We have also confirmed that Burger Junkie and Bump “n” Grind will be providing Food and Hot Drinks at the cup, while Launceston RC will once again have cold drinks, chips and chocolates at our canteen.

In other news, we are still looking for Raffle Sponsors as well as Class Spoonsors.  A raffle sponsor only need donate a prize or voucher.  Class Sponsors provide a cash ammount to pay for the trophies for that class. Because of outstanding work from the boys on the committee, the cost of a class sponsorship has dropped to $75 now, so if your business is interested, please let us know as soon as possible.  If you know of a business that might be interested, let somebody on the committee know as well so that we can get a letter to them.
