Even tho we are all distracted with the Launceston Cup as it grows near, (2 days away!!)
I’d like to quickly take the time to inform you that our sister club in Hobart, the Goodwood Off-Road Model Car Club, have announced..
Previously known as the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Cup will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of November 2013.
Saturday morning will be timed practice from 9am to 1pm, with 3 qualifiers to start from 2pm. Sunday will start at 10am with 1 qualifier followed by 3 finals, best two to count.
Club BBQ will be run from 11am-2pm both days, with sausages and burgers available. Soft drinks and water will also be available.
With the Launceston Cup already having been run we anticipate a great turnout and some close racing on our purpose built 1/10th clay track. The track will be prepped to ensure an awesome racing surface.
Cost is $20 first class, $10 second class. Maximum 2 classes per driver.
Minimum of 4 entries for a class to run. Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each class.
Classes on offer include:
- Stock SCT
- Down to 10.5T brushless motors
- No ESC turbo boost or timing advance
- Must use standard 1/10th scale SCT wheels and tyres
- Open to 2wd SCT’s only
- No rear wings or spoilers.
- Bodies to be cut only on manufacturers mould lines or vent mouldings, (no windscreen or window cut outs please). Rear roll cage cut outs will be allowed.
- Stock Stadium Truck
- Down to 10.5T brushless motors
- No ESC turbo boost or timing advance
- Standard AARCMCC stadium truck rules apply
- Stock Buggy
- Down to 17.5T brushless motors
- No ESC turbo boost or timing advance
- Standard AARCMCC 2WD buggy rules apply
- Open to 2wd buggies only
- Modified 2wd Buggy
- Any motor allowed
- Any ESC allowed – including turbo boost and timing advance
- Open to 2wd buggies only
- Modified 4wd Buggy
- Any motor allowed
- Any ESC allowed – including turbo boost and timing advance
- Open to 4wd buggies only.
- Novice
- Open to participants 16 years old and under
- Open to any 1/10th electric vehicle
- No ESC or motor limit, though 17.5T or slower recommended
General rules which apply to all classes:
- 2S LiPO (7.4V) or 6cell NiMH (7.2V) maximum, LiPOs must be charged in LiPO bags to 8.4V maximum.
Once your entry form is received, you will be added to the entry list.
