Today marks only Two Race Meets, and One Practice race until the big 2013 Tiger Models Launceston Cup!
Entry Update
As of today we have 44 entries, and there are still a lot of familiar faces that we have not seen entries from as yet, so get your entries in soon so that you don’t miss a place in your race! Our Decoder will be upgraded to RC4 standard for the Launceston Cup, so MRT transponders will not work, but RC4 pure transponders will work.
2013 Tasmanian Drivers Interclub Series
Remember that the 2013 Tiger Models Launceston Cup is the first round of the new Tasmanian Drivers Interclub Series. The classes that count towards this Driver Series should be confirmed in the next few days.
Sunday Displays
Remember that we will have two clubs putting on displays on the Sunday of the Launceston Cup, the Tas Radio Rock Crawlers and the Tas RC Drifters will both be there with displays, so make sure you find them, have a look at their displays and say hello!
Volunteers
We are still looking for volunteers for a number of jobs. If you can help please speak with Greeny or Greenie, the list of jobs are below.
- We’ll be wanting to do some scrutineering during the day (nothing heavy-handed, but we want to make sure it’s a level playing field)
- some help with checking everybody in on Saturday and Sunday morning
- some raffle ticket sellers
- Some help manning the canteen on Saturday and Sunday. Even if just for 1 hour stints.
- Some Parking Attendants both mornings to direct traffic as it will be parked at a different location for the Cup.
Food at the Cup
A reminder that Bracknell Primary will be operating a food stall on Saturday and Sunday providing Egg and Bacon Burgers for Breakfast. For lunch they will be selling gluten free sausages and Savaloys, as well as Hamburgers and Soup. Bracknell Primary will be running the stall as a fundraiser for the Grade 5/6 Melbourne Trip, so please support them and buy food from them on the day. Tea and Coffee will also be available here.
Raffle
The raffle will be running so make sure you bring some change to buy some tickets. The raffle will be drawn at the conclusion of racing on Sunday the 15th. Tickets are $2 each, or 3 for $5. There are some great prizes that will be on display at the Launceston RC Canteen where tickets will also be available. A number of new prizes will be arriving in the next week including a full range of Max Racing Products Shock and Diff oils, as well as a range of greases and Thread Locks courtesy of RC Race Supplies who have also just launched their new website.
Thanks
hanks again to our supporters Tiger Models, Proline, Xray, Action RC, RC Race Supplies and Ace Hobby Supplies. We’ll have some great raffle prizes on offer to enable you to take home some new R/C gear. Special note to say thanks to the Launceston R/C team putting it all together.
