The Official start to racing at the new Quercus Park venue on the 24th of May

Calling all Past, Present and Future Radio Control Car Drivers!!!

After a short hiatus due to a change of venue, Launceston RC is excited to announce that that electric R/C car racing is officially restarting at their new venue, the Uniquely Tasmanian Pavilion at Quercus Park, Carrick.

As well as a new venue we have a new night, for 2 months we will trial running racing on Friday nights instead of Thursday nights to encourace racers young and old to come out and race without having to worry about school or work first thing on Friday morning.

Racing will return to being every second and fourth Friday evening each month with doors opening at 6pm and racing commencing at 7pm.   With the usual cast of 2wd and 4wd Buggies, 8th Scale Buggies, Short Course Truck and Novice classes being run we encourage everybody to come out and have a race at our first meet on the 24th of May.  Even if you are interested in racing in the future and want to see how it works, or find out more information, come out and have a look.  Bring a friend, bring your family, bring club or organisation, let all of your friends, family and acquaintances know that the most affordable form of motorsport is once again tearing up the track at Launceston RC!

  2. johnny says:

Ok see you all Thursday after the 2 months trial. I cant do Fridays

  3. Ben says:

The Thursday night racing has always been the winner for me. Often cant make Fridays or weekends.
Dont see Thursday night racing to be any issue. Many have said in the past this is the preferred day to not eat into weekends/other plans etc.

I rise for work at 2:30am on Friday mornings after racing and still race. Once a fortnight is not an issue.
Will see you for the track build and hopefully again on Thursdays after the trial.

  4. I am looking forward to this as the thursday / friday made little difference to me, but when My son is a little older, it will be a lot better to take him friday so he can sleep in the next morning and not worry about shool. I’ll miss the odd race if I take a long weekend, but that’s a good trade in my book.
