Goodwood Festival of Speed!

STMCC is proud to announce the third round of the Tasmanian Interclub Series to be held on January 12th, the ‘Goodwood Festival of Speed’.
The event will run over two days, with the STMCC hosting on-road day on Saturday and GOMCC hosting off-road day on Sunday, both are to count as separate events towards the interclub shield.


This entry form is for the Saturday on-road day
This event will take place on the Saturday with 4x5min qualifiers for each class along with 3x5min A-Main finals and multiple lower finals time permitting.
The track will be open for leading up to the event. Start time will be announced closer to the date.
Club BBQ will be run from 11am-2pm, with sausages and burgers available. Soft drinks and water will also be available.
With two huge events already having been run we anticipate a great turnout and some close racing on our purpose built 1/10th on road track. The track will be prepped to ensure an awesome racing surface.

Cost is $20 first class, $10 second class.

Minimum of 4 entries for a class to run. Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each class.

Classes on offer include:

Mini
o Tamiya M03 or M05 series front wheel drive chassis only.
o Minimum of 1330 grams ready to race
o Body shells are open with the following restrictions – No Modern (post 1980) 4 door touring sedans, 2 door sports/coupe or /12th scale Wedge/Can-Am bodies allowed.
o 16, 18 or 20 tooth pinions only to be used
o Any hop up parts designed for use on a Tamiya Mini are permitted
o 13T/3000Kv Hobby Wing / Ez Run Brushless Motor/ESC Combo (max 35amp ESC) Can must be etched with 13T, various other brands supply the same combo which is allowed
o Ride 3035 front tyre, open rears

Pro Stock
o 21.5T Boosted or 17.5T Blinky Only
o 1/10th scale four wheel drive touring car chassis only
o Minimum of 1350 grams ready to race
o 1/10th scale Rubber tyres only allowed. Max width – 26mm. Foam or rubber moulded inserts may be fitted.
o Any commercially available 190mm 2 or 4 door sedan/saloon style body
o No sports style open or closed cockpit bodies

Super Sport
o 13.5T Boosted only
o 1/10th scale four wheel drive touring car chassis only
o Minimum of 1350 grams ready to race
o 1/10th scale Rubber tyres only allowed. Max width – 26mm. Foam or rubber moulded inserts may be fitted.
o Any commercially available 190mm 4 door sedan/saloon style body
o No sports style open or closed cockpit bodies

Stock SCT
o Down to 10.5T brushless motors
o No ESC turbo boost or timing advance
o Must use standard 1/10th scale SCT wheels and tyres
o Open to 2wd SCT’s only
o No rear wings or spoilers.
o Bodies to be cut only on manufacturers mould lines or vent mouldings, (no windscreen or window cut outs please). Rear roll cage cut outs will be allowed.

Modified SCT
o Any motor allowed
o Any ESC allowed – including turbo boost and timing advance
o Must use standard 1/10th scale SCT wheels and tyres
o Open to 2wd and 4wd SCT’s
o No rear wings or spoilers.
o Bodies to be cut only on manufacturers mould lines or vent mouldings, (no windscreen or window cut outs please). Rear roll cage cut outs will be allowed.

Stock Stadium Truck
o Down to 10.5T brushless motors
o No ESC turbo boost or timing advance
o Standard AARCMCC stadium truck rules apply

Stock Buggy
o Down to 17.5T brushless motors
o No ESC turbo boost or timing advance
o Standard AARCMCC 2WD buggy rules apply
o Open to 2wd buggies only

Modified Buggy
o Any motor allowed
o Any ESC allowed – including turbo boost and timing advance
o Open to 2wd and 4wd buggies

Juniors
o Open to participants 16 years old and under
o Open to any 1/10th electric vehicle
o No ESC or motor limit, though 17.5T or slower recommended

General rules which apply to all classes:
• 2S LiPO (7.4V) or 6cell NiMH (7.2V) maximum, LiPOs must be charged in LiPO bags to 8.4V maximum.
• Sorex touring car tyres can be purchased from the club at $45 per set. Please specify on your entry form if you require a set
• Ride 3035 tyres can also be purchased from the club for $22.50 per pair, we also have Team powers 36 rears which work well with the Ride fronts, $45 for a set of Ride/TP.

 

Entries close 5pm Friday 11 January. No late entries accepted.
