It’s a big week this week for R/C in Tasmania.
First up it’s regular Thursday night action at Launceston R/C. With all our normal classes for tourers, short course trucks, 10th buggy and 8th buggy there’s something for everyone as the Autumn 2012 Championship series continues. We’re hoping we might have trophies to present for the final season of 2011…but that’s to be confirmed if the trophies arrive in time. As usual, doors will be open by 6, with racing underway by 7. If you want to come a few minutes early, grab a broom and do some track sweeping, you’ll be more than welcome.
Then attention swings to Canberra for this week’s running of the 2012 Nitro Off-Road Buggy Championships. It’s a who’s-who of Australian R/C talent, and including regulars Mark Rayner and Justin Strickland, together with Tim Parsons and Simon Kernan from NWRCCC. We wish the guys all the very best in what will be a massive four day event. Check it out live at slyfox from Thursday morning onward.
And then it’s the Tasmanian Championships for 10th EP Tourers and Minis, taking place at Hobart’s STMCC layout in Goodwood. There are a heap of Launceston R/C members heading down for what should be an excellent weekend of racing across four different classes. Scott will be blogging live from the event over at Action R/C if you want to follow along, and we’ll post a summary of results here early next week. If you want to head down to Hobart to check out the action, finals should kick off by around 10.30 on Sunday morning, wrapping up mid-afternoon.
It’s a big week…enjoy it all!
Ive got my usuall night off from work to go racing this week with my B4 and Blitz is having a run ready for the Launceston Cup!
