It’s not too far away now until the annual Scottsdale Show race meeting. Always a fun event, this race takes place Friday night and Saturday (daytime) at the annual Scottsdale show. Racing takes place on sports courts with classes for both on and off-road. Nitro cars are welcome along with the regular electric cars. It’s a real buzz to race this event, with the track often lined with spectators watching us do our thing.
Ian Scott is taking on the running of the event this year, with support from long time organiser Rocket Houghton.

Classes this year are for:
- Tourers – Stock
- Tourers – Super Stock
- Tourers – Nitro
- Mini
- Short Course Trucks
- 1/10th Electric Buggy
- 1/8th Electric or Nitro Buggy/Truggy
If there are enough junior drivers, a mixed 10th off-road junior class will also be included. Note too that while the whole event runs over Friday night and Saturday, if you can only make one day you can still race.

Ian, are there any motor/tyre rules for SC?
Paddy sc rules are same as what we are running at rutherglen But you could run with the 1/8.If there are enough 4×4 sc or different motor(outlaw trucks) they will run a different class outlaw trucks.I know peter could be running and there acouple hobart with 4×4 and greenie got a 8.5

Just to clarify the motor specs for this years Scottsdale meeting, as after talking to some of the Hobart crew today there is some confusion with the different motors/speedies being run across our great a state
Super Stock Tourer we will allow 13.5 with timing or 10.5 with NO timing
Stock tourer – only allowing 17.5 with NO timing
SC Truck 2wd – 13.5 with NO timing and tyres as per LRC – NO race compoound tyres
1/8th off road – open motors and tyres
SC Truck 4ws – open motors and tyres
Mini – The hobby wing 13T/3000KV or similar
1/10th buggy – open motors and tyres
Novice – any thing within reason
1/10th Nitro tourer – .12 or .15 size engines
We will be randomly scrutineering cars across the weekend to ensure the above basic spec’s are being followed to ensure all is fair in what is going to be a great race meeting with some close fast racinf through out the classes
