El presidente Paddy, and track guru Mr Brickwood have been busily working way out at Rutherglen, installing a brand new track layout.
Word is that its nice and technical, and features a brand new, expanded off-road section, complete with a surface change and challenging new jump.
A stack more shipping rope has also arrived to give us an upgrade to our track barriers as well.
As if I wasn’t looking forward racing next week enough already, now we have a great new track to play on!
Thursday Oct 14th it all goes live. Start looking forward to it now!
And remember…..its all about the racing lines. Have a good long look at the track before you fire up your car!
Hey Scott
we able to get a pice or 2 or a possible layout drawing?
Pete
a pic or 2 sorry…thumbs in the way
I haven’t seen it so can’t help. I will see It for first time next week. Paddy, Greenie or Chris might be able to help.
didn’t think to get a pic!!!! LOL!!!
we will get one posted up when all is ready!! =OP
Or everyone can wait and get a suprize next week like Scott! 😉
How often is this place is going to change its track? Ive done 2 rounds before the Winter Series, All 6 Rounds of The Winter Series and now we have to get use to a different layout but hey i’m up for a challenge!
Hope there some room for the Tourers?
Racing on different tracks is a great way to improve your driving skills. It’s all helpful, it’s variety, and it’s us as a club trying new things together.
nicely put Scott.
I think the thing here is to be open to changes in the track.
We’ve only have one season out there, and as a new club in a new venue, i think we need to be able to experiment with the track till we find something that suits us all. Plus, a new track puts us all back on a level playing field for track knowledge for the start of a new season!!!
James, Chris and myself were thinking of a fresh track every season. That’s the great thing about our layout, we are free to change it around easily. And they say change is as good as a holiday!!
Its good to change the track around so we dont get bored of the same track each season!
Ive got my Raptor SCT Body ready & the micro camera for next weeks round of racing; Ive cut out the grill off the body so i’ve got a better veiw of where im driving and get up close with my competition.
Ive checked the rules for the Short Course Trucks and it doesn’t say anything about what i’ve done but ive think ive created better aerodymanics to my car?? L8r James
All 3 cars will be out for a run next week but the Summit will be for a fun run before we start racing for the night!
Since im running the Camera in the Slash, ive got a VE Commodore body for Grahams Tourer! L8r JA
And of course, tourers will be accommodated for as always… 🙂
sounds good guys looking forward to it.I myself thinks its good that we can change track layout when we like to .See all race night
Nice work crew.
Looking forward to it.
As good as the old layout was, I was ready for the next challenge half way through last season 😉
I actually thought this post was about the new layout down Latrobe.
Scott sure rose to the challenge there and took home the win in a fashion only our Scott and the Mighty Rocket can seem to muster.
Nice driving 🙂
Can’t wait to see it. I was all worked up to race tonight but then realized public holiday, damn as next Thursday wife is staying at Hobart so now I can’t race for another 3 weeks :-(. Hey does anyone have some good to reasonable 2s lipo’s roar approved batteries for sale? for short course class of course depends on price but want 2 to 3 batteries. I might be better off buying new
Cheers
Corey

hey David thanks for the link i got those batteries they only had about 10 cycles couple of months old one pack and the other 5 months old with about 20 cycles. Not bad considering they are like $130 a pack to buy new
Thanks
Corey
This Thursday I meant sorry I’m ahead of myself
Corey
Make sure you are using a LIPO charger for those packs – not all NICD / NIMH chargers are LIPO capable. If in doubt check with some of the guys at the track to make sure you have the right charger.
cheers
we’re definitely not racing tomorrow night – but it’s not got to do with the public holiday.
For 2010 we race the second and fourth Thursday nights each month. That means in October, we’re racing 14th and 28th.
cheers!
scott
Thanks Scott I realized that once I looked at the race dates
