Countdown to Round Four!

After a three week break before Round 3 that seemed to stretch on forever, it’s now just a few days until Round four of the Winter series for Launceston R/C – this Thursday August 26th August.

More Big Banger action, more Short Course craziness, some new cars and faces hitting the track with the Tourers, and without question some excellent action in our Novice and 10th buggy classes.

Will you be there? Will there be a first time winner in any of our classes?

Should be a ripper, whether it’s your first or 10th race meeting with us, c’mon down and get amongst the action.

twins servos in the mini revo, i was wondering how to do that, will have to check it out thursday night if ya dont mind

      • Ben says:

        Hi Corey,
I installed twin servos after a servo failure put me out after race 1 last meet. You do need to have adjustable links to get it right… Not that im entirely sure I got mine right lol… Your welcome to have a look tomorrow night.
        see you then…

24 hours to go people 🙂

      • Paddy says:

Just one thing to keep in mind when running twin servos in anything. Make sure when the servos are at neutral (pointing straight ahead) that there is no “twitching” in either of the servos. You want them working in harmony together or you will suffer early servo failure.
        Cheers

    • Ben says:

Thanks for the info Paddy, I tried to set up from the servo horn out while they were turned on with 0 % trim.. and fixed up wheel adjustnent with the adjustable links… no noise at centre so hopefully I got it right!

I’ll be there with the usual cars: Slash with Kumho Tyres and Grahams Tourer!
My parts hasnt arrived yet from tower hobbies for the Traxxas 4tec so it will be on track once they have arrived with the brushless system on it! L8r

    • Corey says:

Hey James, do you run a brushless in your slash? if so what are you using? I just brought myself a Traxxas Slash and was wondering what brushless combo to go with, there are so many out there. I realised that there are rules we have to comply to under the short course division, any info you could give me would be great

      • James says:

Ive just got a Brushed Traxxas Titan Motor in mine; Paddy reckons Novak GTB Esc / Ballistic 13.5t motor combo for the short course truck but shop around for a good deal first then make sure it 13.5turn motor! James

    • Corey says:

Yeah been looking around but wasn’t sure which way to go, thanks for advice. sure i’ll buy one from the US.

      • James says:

If you do go for getting one form the US get one off amainhobbies.com! Ive been getting most of my stuff from there and they have been arriving here within 8 days after you have ordered a product but im not sure how long it take to get a r/c car here in Aus but i reckeon it would be slightly longer :-s, i got mine off towerhobbies.com and it took 3 weeks to get here! L8r and No Probs James

      • Corey says:

yeah some places take for ages to arrive from the US, i got a wheelie bar for my mini e-revo and it took 3 1/2 weeks. but got 3S lipos for me e-revo from maxAmp and received those within 8 days (great batteries as i get 30minutes runtime)

  3. Ben says:

Looking for a xerun 80amp esc if anyone’s got one and wants a cash injection… not needed for thursday but wanted just the same…
